SEGD CONFERENCE

A branding project for the Society of Experiential Design, a national conference celebrating and awarding stand out professional experiential graphic designers. The branding package comprised of a versatile lock up design, social media templates for various platforms, and a custom bike design.

The SOLUTION

On a team of 5, I focused on multi-platform social media templates, booklet design with a focus in information hierarchy and project management. 

The greatest challenge we faced was the volume and complexity of information that needed to be organized into a quickly scannable and cost effective booklet.

We came up with a collaborative plan for 3 of us to take turns "owning" the booklet file (Id+Ai) for 24 hours at a time. During the time of ownership, we would add iterations or tweaks to the existing file before passing on to the next person. Every other day we would also meet in person to discuss what was working and what needed more attention. We did this for 2 full turns then designated one person to clean up and package up the file for the client meeting. Through this process we developed a trust in each other's skills and a synergy that resulted in a beautiful, well thought out booklet.
